Friday morning I went to a modern apprenticeships thing at B&P collage. The woman was quite enthusiastic that I would get a place, and she said [off the record] that I was the most likely candidate out of all the people who attended that morning.
At 1730h I went to the Broadstone Complimentary Medicine Clinic to have an allergy test done. Its quite cool, and tests the body’s resistance against the electrical signal of different food stuffs. Not only does it test for what one is allergic to, it tells one what one is deficient in and tells one which bits of ones body are screwed. Also the guy is a nutritionist and can give one examples of what one should eat to restore the balance in the body.
For me, it turned out that I’m deficient in Amylase [meaning I can't digest carbohydrates properly, leading to it entering the blood stream and causing allergy-type reactions], vitamins B12 and C and Magnesium [Meaning I get a lot of acid reflux because there is nothing to keep the acid levels right]. I’m really highly allergic to saccharine and aspartame, highly allergic to egg white, white wheat flour, instant and espresso coffee, caffeine [and therefore black tea], cream, peanuts, white sugar, coco powder and a bunch of sulphite E numbers, I’m slightly allergic to lactose and shell fish/ molluscs.
My organ check basically said that my nose and sinuses are screwed, I’m liable to get itchy eyes, my bronchi and trachea are really screwed, the adrenal gland [which I think is the immune system] is pretty crap, the bacteria on the gut wall isn’t right [see the stuff about amylase] and I need to keep an eye on my thyroid gland. He then gave me a list of things I really should be eating, like stuff high in the things I’m deficient in, different types of tea I can try, things that should be okay to re-introduce like meat, fish and goats milk and things I need to not go over board on,like Brassica [cabbage, broccoli etc] stuff, as it can aggravate the thyroid.
The weekend was mostly spent at home with Andy doing things to my computer, and me doing stuff with digital music. I now have a different desktop environment called Xfce, my comp is now called ‘Paragorn’ instead of ‘Ella’, and I have several new login themes. Owen has put three new hard drives on the server and I spent a long time moving and sorting out music. ‘sall good really
On Saturday my cousin Paul came down for my Nan’s funeral.
Monday, was Nan’s funeral. I put my sudden outburst of sobbing during the eulogy down to the fact that before the funeral, I made welsh cakes. They are ‘a kind of sweet cake cooked on a griddle, [and] were originally served to hungry travellers when they arrived at an inn for the night while they waited for their supper to be cooked.’ [according to the British Embassy].
Today Paul, my parents and I went for a drive all out around the Purbecks to take some money to Nan’s care home and to show him stuff. Its was very odd, cuz I feel asleep on the way back, and then slept for about 2 hours once we got home.
In other news: Apparently Spacefem is away this week, so I’m still not able to log on *jumps up and down in flustration*, I’m going RPGing tonight [yay], and I think I’m in heat [as in like female cats] so seeing andy should be interesting tonight, and tomorrow, hopefully, I am going to see shrek 2 with kitty and ryan.
Yeah, so I’ve had lots going on, and hopefully I should get a work placement very soon, which means money!
Anyway, love ya world *blows kiss*
