Last weekend was fun. This week has been fun [in the good way and the sarcastic way].
I bought: dumbells [£15]; a tee-shirt for kat that I’m going to write something on [£6]; a really nice diamond and onxy cross, that I’m considering trying to write a short story about [£14]; a CD for Andy [£8]; and two books, The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fford and Iron Council by China Mieville [£4 - Andy had a £10 gift voucher]. Then in the evening we met up with Kat n Lex and had a fine all time with drink and food and talk.
This week I’ve accepted a perminent job offer from Zelwegier, and had my time wasted by that numbnut Luke [more about that later] and today I stood out in the rain for a half hour nearly at the end of the day while we had a fire thing at work.
Okay, lets get back to that luke thing shall we?
We arrived at andy’s at 1900ish. We started playing at 2030. We played until 2100, when luke decided he didn’t like the World of Darkness rules. Okay, fair enough, but he could have cancled the session, could have told us at the begging of the session so we could have watched a movie instead or even let us play to a conclusion. Asshole. I suspect that he just got board of GMing and hadn’t planned anything. So then we spend untill 2200 trying to chose a new game to play. By non consenting consent [ie no one wanted to make a desion] I am going to GM kat’s new game Aern: Awakenings. What really pisses me off is that Greg suggested Star Wars, then Luke kinda latched on and to everything else we suggested [Call of Cuthulu, Fung Shui, Farscape, Stargate SG1, Changling, Monopoly, DnD, Aern, Toons, Paranoia, the one where everyone's a god] was met with ‘Oh, I heard that’s crap’ or ‘Oh that’s crap I don’t wanna play that one’, and all through he was generating a jedi char. I just got fed up with his baby attitude and said: Right, that’s it. I’m not listening to you any more.
What it boiled down to was Greg saying he had an adventure if we all really wanted to play Star Wars, but if we wanted to play Aern, he was behind me. So we flipped a coin and I won. Though he never did show the coin to me, so I wonder if he rigged it… And when Luke said he didn’t want to play I gave him a flat out ultimatum: If he doesn’t want to play then fine, but if he does and he acts up, he can probably get ready to die from random rocks falling on his head, but I’m not going to put up with his bullshit.
That decided I dragged Andy upstairs bcause everyone else was talking about WoW [Blarg] and I ranted for a while while he found the disk for the 4400. What also gets me is people think I’m being harsh about my telling him I wasn’t listing any more and my ultimatum. I think I was fully justified. He was being an whiny little brat who wanted was acting up to try and get his own way. Well that kinda crap doesn’t work with me.
So, I have like a week to plan my cammpaingn [in more detail at least] and read up/ print out the rules. My first campaign as a GM. Eeek
