An airline stewardess named Jackie Brown gets imprisoned for running cannabis from Mexico to LA for a friend of hers named Ordell Robbie, who then pays for her bail. He then asks her to run some money for him, but she brokers a deal with some cops to help them catch him, with the intention of double crossing both Ordell and the cops with the help of her bailsman, Max Cherry. All goes according to plan for no one except Brown and Cherry, and they walk away with a cool couple of million.

This film I found to be a little pointless, as in there didn’t seem to be any moral or educational value to it. I also thought it was a little slow – the tempo of the action didn’t ever seem to change from the slightly monotonous pace. I did however like the attitude of Ms Brown, and I don’t feel that the amount of drugs, sex or bad language detracted from the story; if anything it added to it.

Over all, this film was interesting, if a little boring. I give it 2 horseshoes – I wouldn’t want to pay money to go and see it.
