Well, okay, I am so not. But I’m just starting to feel a little guilty.

I just bought 5 DVDs for the price of one in HMV’s sale.

I got:
Edward SissorHands for £4
Robots for £6
Hero for £7
and Hook for £5,
and beacuse I spent over 20 quid, I got the Corpse Bride for £5.

And they still have their origional prices so I’ve saved
[15.99 + 10 + 10 + 9.99 + 5] – [4 + 6 + 7 + 5 + 5] = 24 quid

So, those random thoughts…
I’ve decided I don’t like wearing glasess. It’s like always looking through a window – the frames are always in my periferay vision and I feel so cut off from what I’m seeing. Not only that, but they make me feel restricted in what I can see. The frames take up space that could be used for seeing small children launch themselves into the road as I am about to step out of it.

Has any one else noticed that Jonny Depp does that weird ‘looking down his nose’ thing with ever almost every character he plays? I wonder if it’s an unconcious thing, and if he does it when he’s not acting?

I think the best definition for a good book, film or TV show is one that pulls you in so much that you stop second guessing what’s going to happen, stop trying to see how an effect was achived and stop thinking about the actors as people pretending to be something else.

So, with this in mind, I have to change my faviourite film from Cypher to The Mystery Men

Maybe, sorta, kinda…

I think the guy who drives the Wimborne Flyer bus in the mornings has finally figured out that I am something to do with the school. Friday he waved me on with just the smallest glance at me, and when I got off at the school he said ‘see you later’. And after the shift when he came and got me he actually said ‘hi’ and waved me on again. It’s a pity he isn’t young or cute, but I still find it funny.

Talk Like A Pirate day was fun for me, at least in the afternoon. I’d woken up from a very nasty dream in which I was late for a sort of press conference thing with the cast of atlantis, being held in a field, and just as I came over the apex of the hill I saw someone shoot at Dr Wier/ Kat/ Captian Janeway and Shepherd/ Andy/ Tom Paris jump in front of her and get shot. All I could do was stand there and scream. So I was really knackered and slept from about 1000 to 1330. Fortunatly I was fine for the afternoon and got back just in time to let Major and Jade in, have a shower and dress up myself and start drinking. The evening slowly progressed into drunken revelry, with more people arriving by the minute. Eventually we had Captain Jadeszky, First Mate Major and the crew of myself, Gregorria, Alex and Crace with Cabin Boy Ian. Unfortunatly that half-hour head start the Cap’n and first mate had on me caught up with them, and Jade really cannot handle her liquor. And Ian’s just a pussy when it comes to alchohol [:P]. So by the time we headed to bournemouth, we’d effectivly lost 3 of the crew, when Alex and Crace decided it was time to pour the Captain back into her bunk, just as the bus came. So in the end, only Greg and I made it to Bournemouth. We headed to the Moon, had one round, then headed to the beach, talked about stuff and then headed back. We were home by 2300, but then it was a school night…

I didn’t actually take that many pictures beacuse Jade had her big posh camera and was trying to get pictures of everyone. I think maybe we should all dress up again and have our pictures taken somewhere piratical. But this is what I did get:

There has also been a lot of talk recently about the house going it’s seperate ways when the lease comes up for renewal again. This is mainly because none of us likes cleaning, and we all have different ways to do it and so it hardly ever gets does and one person is always landed with doing a couple of weeks worth of chores. Also, Andy hates people drinking at our house and we do that a lot [or we have done recently] so he doesn’t come down and see people and so a rift is growing there. And I suppose, thought no one wants to admit it, ‘the summer of discontent’ has a lot to do with ackwardness when people come here and that just generally makes for bad company.
Dan really wants to move in with his b/f Steve and Andy wants to move out. I don’t especially [considering andy and I have so much more stuff now.. like big furniture] but things are getting a little strained, and there is no way monkey can live here on his own. The thing is, I like being able to go downstairs and go and bug monkey, or be in the lounge and have maybe Mayra wander in. I’ve always lived in places with lots of people and I guess I think I might go a little stir-crazy with just Andy. Well we’ll see how things go in the next 11 months.

Humm, well I can’t actually think of anything else right now, so I’ll wander off and edit if there is something I remember.
