Ramblings of a Disorientated Mind

Not by anything or anyone in specific, but I haven’t really been ‘all there’ today. Any attempt by external stimuli to attract my attention has resulted in quite spectacular failure. Well, okay, may not that spectacular because I did in fact not get run over today, allthough it was a very near miss thing [in my defence, there was a big, opaque... thing blocking my view].

I suppose it didn’t help I overslept this morning and was very tired, shakey, dizzy and had cronic stomach pains, as well as being told I looked blotchy.

But yeah, appologies to those who tried to engage me in meaningful conversation.

After my afternoon shift yesterday, getting of the M2, the bus driver smailed at told me to ‘take care’. I have no idea what that was all about. Yes, I’ve seen him before but… It confused me.

In his book ‘No Plot, No Problem’, Crist Batty mentions fear as being one of the greatest incentioves to write. He suggestes that in order to reach the 50,000 word goal of NaNoWriMo you should brag to everyone you ever come into contact with that you’re not only going to reach said goal but exceed it, publish the result and make a fortune. I haven’t exactly quite done that but… I mentioned to someone who works at the school that I was a writer, and she obviously mentioned it to some of the other teachers so they keep asking me about it and now I have ‘the fear’ – ie I’m going to look really silly if my name doesn’t appear in print somewhere soon.

There was this guy on the bus this morning, he was quite tall and chunky and had slioghtly curly sandy hair and glasses and a neatly kept beard. He was about 10 years older than me, but he was really cute [are my tastes changing? Nah, probably just the 5 year itch thingy]. I really wish I could find some way to put him in a story. He was wearing this green hoodie thing and had a brown messenger bag. If I had to write a resume/ classified ad for him it would probably read: ‘After my I’ve finished my work as an environmental protection/ animal rights advocate, I like to hang out in coffee shops with my friends and listen to beat poetry recitals.’ He’d make a good object of affection in a romantic comedy. It’s just a pity I’m not funny unless I’m stoned, and I can’t write romace worth a damn…

I should call my dad somewhen, or go see my parents. Greg and I were talking about famillial relationships yesterday and it’s made me miss my dad… Maybe I should get him to proofread something as an excuse for communication…

I really need to start selling some of this crap I have laying around. I just need to take pics of it then I can put it up on e-bay.

I’m hungry

I should email DDT and Manga Kelly and probably ryan. I haven’t spoken to any of them for ages.

Meh, stupid me. What do i do? he didn’t talk to me this morning. Should i give this up or not or what? So confused.

What else? Umm, I’m not going to see the doctor untill 29th dec. Its kinda annoying, but i guess, as i only want her to give me a alergy test, i can wait.

Katys home, which is cool. My site has been put up on the server, but we still don’t have a stic IP yet, so when you type in http://druidx.co.uk it goes to 0catch. My site has also been purused by the web dude at ozzy bailies, and he thinks it s cool Mesa so chuffed, lol.

I’m feeling so randome and rambling. I tryed making a moodring emoticon for spacefem, but jasc doesn’t do animated or transparnt GIFs which is annoying, so i tryed to do it in the GIMP, which didn’t workand now its all gone screwy. Meh.

Lol, some carrol singers came to the door last night, and sung one verse or ‘away in a manger’. We told them that was cheating, and sang on verse of ‘adam lay ibounden’ at them. I think we scared them, and it sort of got us to thinking, maybe we [my brother and i] should go carolling. I have a plethora of cool christmass songs, most of which i can rember how they go.

ICS course has come of hiatus, becuse i found a magazine to study. Its called ‘interzone’ and its very cool I’ve finished my untitled story, but i keep editing it. Its covered with yellow highlighter and scribblings, but i may sumbmit it to this interzone, just for laughts.

Humm, i feel hungy.. I think i shall go eat somthing.

I don’t belive I mentioned this, but on the 29th Dec, I went to the Doctor to get her to get me allergy tests, cuz I’m fed up of wondering what is going to make me ill. She said there was nothing she could do, so she’s reffered me to a consultant, so things are looking pretty optomistic on that front. However she did say she doesn’t know what the waiting times are like so it could be a while yet. But things are going to happen [hopefullly] and I’m pleased about that

Music: Enya, Era, Adiamus, Therion, ect…

I just made a bunch of letters to mail out to publishes regarding my novelette. I think I will probably do best with Piper’s Ash, but the rest can’t hurt either… I just have to get someone to proof read my letter. I know my chances are slim, and I shouldn’t get my hopes up, but still…. *wrings hands in anticipation*

I sort of want to do another Gurn and Asuka story, but I’m having trouble thinking up a plot line. I think I will use a modded version of somthing I posted earlier as a begining point, its just thinking of where to take it.
