In case you hadn’t guessed, today was the last day of term Which means I have holiday for just over two weeks now Yeah, I’m not sure what I’m going to do with myself either, but catching up on some movies and writing some more reviews sounds cool.
Ooh, and the teaching staff at the school where having like a little lunch after all the kids had gone and they invited me. It was quite nice [very bad for me though] and I got to talk to one of the governors, and Mrs Cowman [someone I knew from church cuz I have the same birthday as her daughter] and some of the other staff. I’m convinced that the Head Teacher thinks I’m some kind of ditz, because I couldn’t think of anything to say to her when she called out to me during her little speech – I kinda just blushed and tried to hide… Heh But yeah that was fun.

And this morning [since I decided going home would be a wast of time because I had to be back at the school by 1300h, so I spent the morning in Poole [which brought a whole new set of problems in that I wanted to buy everything I saw]]I bought myself some new hair dye, and I’ve just dyed it. It’s a bit darker than I expected and because I didn’t read the label properly in the shop, it’s now permanent. I’m happy with it though. Doing it was a nightmare though, because it has ammonia in it [which stunk] and hydrogen peroxide [which burnt a bit] and I spend 30 mins trying to wash the dye out and even then it wasn’t all out so I got bored and gave up.

So what else has been happening it me [since it's been a while since I did a proper update]?

Well, I was having some really bad dreams right after finishing Nano, so I put myself on sleeping pills which seems to be working. I’m not as tired on waking, and even though I know I’ve been dreaming, I can’t remember them

I’ve vowed [after having trouble with the buses this morning/ afternoon getting back to the school for 1300] that I’m going to learn to ride a motor bike, even it’s it’s some evil twist-and-go scooter.

I’ve also been doing a lot of work with my unfinished stories. Some of them have really cool concepts, so I’ve been re-reading them, writing out the concepts and plots-so-far in separate files with similar names [ie, for 'thing 2' I now have an accompanying file named 'Thing 2: Notes'] and trying to extend and finish those plots. I’ve also been doing character profiles for all the characters I know are going to be in it. That’s all pretty cool and making me feel batter about stuff

Err, I’ve finally managed to sort and tag the majority of my music, I only have the Soundtracks, Jazz and Rock’n'Roll folders to finish. Now my next task with that is to listen to everything and decide whether I like it, and would listen to it again, and if I should keep it. It’s a pity I can’t get the scrobbler for XMMS working otherwise that could be pretty amusing what happens to my stuff on Last.fm.

I’m sorry to say that work on OpenContribution.org has stopped again, because I really don’t know how to carry the project forward and it seems everyone else who was involved has forgotten about it. I don’t know, maybe it’s just one of those things that isn’t ever meant to happen…

Hum, what else…

I’ve been thinking about getting a new job because even though I love being a lolly pop lady, it’s just not paying enough. I get about £250 a month, and that’s not even enough to cover my rent [£260], let alone all the extras [£40 + random costs like dentist and optician appointment] as well as giving me playing money. The thing is everyone keeps saying ‘oh just get another part time job in between’, but I really don’t want to do that, I think I’d get far to confused and tired with all the running around.

I think that’s it… I can’t think of anything else I’ve been doing, other than studiously avoiding house work

I think the scales in the swimming pool might be broken.

When I stopped swiming sometime early august, I weighted about 12 stone and some odd pounds.

Friday I started swimming again, and I weighed 13 stone and a few more odd pounds.

I went swiming again today, and the scales read 8 stone something or other. WTF?

I can understand gaining about a stone over 3 months, but loosing 5 stone in 5 days? I don’t think so. But damn, this means I’m going to have to pay out a quid fifty or something, instead of 20p, to use the scales in boots because I don’t know where else there are scales, and we don’t have any here at home. Boo

Ugh. I’ve started having really bad dreams again. But they’re not just bad, they’re vivid too. They’ve been realistic to the point where on waking I find myself remembering the dream physically and emotionally as though it really happened.

I had three of these dreams so far.

The first one yesterday was sort of back to front, I was on holiday in another country with my family, and then later it was like we were going on holiday. We were driving down to Fleetsbridge on the dual carriage way and at some point the boot opened up and all our stuff was falling out. I told dad, who was driving, to stop but he didn’t so I got out the car anyway and they drove off with out me, and I was filled with the feeling they hated me.

The second dream was I was at Foxlease or some other big guide camping place, and I had a team of girls I was leading through a man-hunt game [we were the hunted] and we came across some guiders I knew, so we persuaded one of them to let us ‘in’ their site for a while for refreshments and in doing so we distracted the guider into forgetting to lock the door of something so they had a piece of very expensive equipment stolen. Evey one blamed the guider who let us in, even though it was my fault. So I tried to admit that, but I just couldn’t and when I woke up I felt like such a horrible person because I didn’t own up.

and Uh, I’ve forgotten most of the third, but it was something involving gods and soap and heat and me being possesed and hurting Andy…
