Shield
Sinister [or left]: Andrew’s shield has the cross of St Andrew; The sign for the firstborn; and the ship of Shoreham; all on a green background.

Dexter [or right]: Laura’s shield has crossed tent pegs for Millets [and, I'd like to think, my Guiding and other outdoor-sy-ness]; the crescent for the second child; and the Dolphin of Poole

Common symbols spanning both shields are the book, and the @ to indicate shared interests

Supporters Galadriel and Legolas for The Lord of the Rings

Wreath Laurel leaves for Laura, and Ivy of Tolkien’s elven brooches. The shield is balanced on the Seattle tower

Motto They are our names, but the & is from Dungeons and Dragons.
