I’ve got three more 🙂 This is becoming a little bit of an obsession… In other news I’ve bookmarked the most accessible books in the collection, and last night I managed to use Andy’s phone to collect data on the newest ones [also, the most accessible ones]. We really need to get around to finding out how Jim’s getting on with making our bookcases because it’s starting to get a little desperate in there…

Another GeekHappyFunTime update

Well, it looks like this is going to be put on hold for a while, sort of. We got a different offer. One of our old house mates [Lorcian on their forums] use to do have a slot on something called Booty Island Radio, that was run by Gaming radio Network. I don’t know if he still does that, but apparently he was asked to do a geek radio show by them [I think, I was kinda hazy on the…

Geek Happy Fun Time – Update

Geek Happy Fun Time – Update

I mentioned way back when that Andy and I were thinking of starting our own podcast to fill in the gap left by LUG Radio, only we more general geekyness and puppets. Well since that post in July we hadn’t really done anything beyond saying ‘we really must do that’ to each other. Well, not we’ve set things in motion: we bought a digital camcorder and it should be arriving any day now, and we bough the domain geekhappyfuntime.com [nothing…

Four more new Bookmarks

So I didn’t have much to do yesterday, so I made bookmarks! I’ve been experimenting with printing directly on to card. It sort of works, but usually needs to be sprayed with hairspray to make the ink stay on the card. I may have to investigate actual printer card, the stuff I’m using atm was left over from when we were making stencils to put the elvish on our lounge walls, so it’s naff quality but thin enough to pass…

[I’ve stick this under tech, because one I don’t have a craft section, and two I did most of this on the computer.] So I don’t have enough book marks right, so I decided I’d make one using a quote I like very much: ‘Whether it’s a spoon or whether it’s not, you’ll always get a drink’ – Greg Towler. I used the GIMP to make the picture, borrowing the spoon image from The Open Clip Art Library. It’s all…

Happy Fun Geek Hour!

Happy Fun Geek Hour!

With LUG Radio gone, and leaving a huge void in the podcasting world, this was something we discussed at LUG Radio Live that might fill the gap. It’s the mascots of the FLOSS world talking about geeky stuff. Apologies for the quality, it’s recorded on my new Asus EEE PC. Here is the poor first edition test thing, with Firefox, openSUSE and myself. And a random other geeky thing, Firefox ate my Kobolds.

Digital Cameras are love part… I forget

Digital Cameras are love part… I forget

I’ve had my camera, what 3 months? And already, I swear it’s payed for it’s self in the amount of photos I take vs development costs. That, and the nice weather has turned this into a bit of a photolog. And just to prove the point, I went to an open garden today, and got some more nice piccys: In other news, I’ve seen a rather cool idea; Some girl decided that she visited so many personal sites she’d review…

Updated: The Infamous Light Theif

So, I still havn’t completed Morrowind yet, but I have collected a shit load more lights from last time I posted: If you go and stand in the far corner of the room, not only does it sound like you’re in an inferno, but it laggs out something horrible 🙂
