So, second day of half term
It has, reliably, been raining on and off. I remember when I was a kid I loved half term because it mean I could do non-school stuff, like sort my books, or run around branksome woods with kat and ryan and people.
Now I am an adult, what do I think?… more »
Karma?
I don't know what I did to deserve it, but on both my shifts today, it started raining pretty much as soon as I got to the school and stopped as I waited for the bus to take me home again. The rest of the day was nice and dry, and at occasional points wa… more »
Thank you cow
Thank you for living a short, but happy life. Thank you for then, at the end of that life, giving up your tender flesh that I might cook it and enjoy it. I want you to know that your flesh was very flavourful, lean and full of your once lively blood whic… more »
Hey guess what?
Yup, it's coming up to that time again!
And I challenge you all!
[Yes, this also means I will be bitchy, selfish, non-communicative, wearing a silly hat and generally not fun again for the whole of November. Deal with it, and let me write.] more »
I won the lottery!
Okay, so it's only 10 quid, but still. I wonder what I did to be rewarded twice by karma? more »
Woot!

October? Bleh
I hate October. It's all cold and nasty showery rain and dark :( And I'm in a horrible mood partly because of that, but partly because I went shopping with mum this morning. There was a really nice purple coat in TK Maxx by some one called Rosen or somet… more »
Hey, hey, big spender
Well, okay, I am so not. But I'm just starting to feel a little guilty.
I just bought 5 DVDs for the price of one in HMV's sale.
I got:
Edward SissorHands for £4
Robots for £6
Hero for £7
and Hook for £5,
and beacuse I spent over 20 quid,… more »

A conclusion
I think the best definition for a good book, film or TV show is one that pulls you in so much that you stop second guessing what's going to happen, stop trying to see how an effect was achived and stop thinking about the actors as people pretending to be… more »
Umm... An update?
Maybe, sorta, kinda...
I think the guy who drives the Wimborne Flyer bus in the mornings has finally figured out that I am something to do with the school. Friday he waved me on with just the smallest glance at me, and when I got off at the school he… more »
I think it's fair to say I've been distracted today
Not by anything or anyone in specific, but I haven't really been 'all there' today. Any attempt by external stimuli to attract my attention has resulted in quite spectacular failure. Well, okay, may not that spectacular because I did in fact not get run… more »
In which dru records random happenings and random thoughts
After my afternoon shift yesterday, getting of the M2, the bus driver smailed at told me to 'take care'. I have no idea what that was all about. Yes, I've seen him before but... It confused me.
In his book 'No Plot, No Problem', Crist Batty mentions f… more »
Here's one for the boys
When you were 8-10 years old, did you ever say 'mummy' if, say, you were tired and /or wanted something?
It's research, I promise.
Also, about what time did you go to bed at that age? more »

There is a reason for the phrase...
And I've been muttering those ineffable words, 'Thank gods it's friday', all day as things have slowly gone from bad to worse.
No, I don't want to talk about it thanks.
All I want now is to go out and have a nice quiet bucket of cocktails.

This weekend has been blissful
I feel not only like the cat that got the cream, but the cat that got to eat the cream on a silk covered bed in late afternoon sun before drifting into a contented snooze, possibly with an attractive male cat next to her :)

I sleep too little
